Michelle Petrescu BSc., M.OMSc
(Osteopathic Manual Practitioner)Michelle is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and a graduate from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO) in Hamilton, with a Masters of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (M.OMSc).
Prior to studying Classical Osteopathy, Michelle graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with Honours BSc Health Science. During her time at Laurier, she developed a passion for human anatomy, physiology and the improvement in human health and well-being. Osteopathy has allowed her to continue this journey and focus on a holistic, hands-on approach in healthcare.
The CAO has a principles-based osteopathic education program. This intensive four-year program included in-depth academic study of functional anatomy, physiology, osteopathic principles and techniques, with 4200+ hours of clinical, hands-on practice.
As an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, Michelle is dedicated to enhancing my patient’s well-being, optimizing their mobility, and promoting increased longevity and vitality by improving the interrelationship between the structure and function of the body while addressing the root causes of health issues, not just the symptoms.
Her services are covered through all major insurance providers and she is a member of the Ontario Osteopathic Association (OOA/OSTCAN).
